Hi, all!

I stopped by to share a convenient little kit I got to try. This makeup removal and cleaning set by AOMUU contains two cleaning cloths and a silicone scrub pad. I’ve tried both these types of products before, so I had an idea of what to expect, and I wasn’t disappointed.

The first time I tried one of these pads, my eczema and I were both a little leery. A scrub pad… for my face? This pad is made of silicone, so it’s actually quite soft. It has small bristles that give it texture. Though they’re soft, they somehow manage to provide a good scrub. The softness prevents this cleaning pad from being too abrasive. That being said, it’s best to be gentle, because it is possible to irritate your skin. After a couple uses, I learned to find a happy medium between being too timid and going ham. I found out (the hard way) that though this pad is soft, it can still cause irritation if you scrub too vigorously. I like the pad, because I can use my regular cleanser and skip the scrub, so it’s like two steps in one. I’m all for a time-saver! It’s also easy to wash, and it dries quickly, so there’s no need to worry about bacteria. In case you need it, there’s also a suction cup on the back, so if you’d rather, you can use it to clean your makeup brushes!

The makeup remover cloths – these things are pure sorcery. Using one of these cloths, you can take off a full face of makeup…with just water. These, too, are a skin saver, because with one of them, I can eliminate using a drying cleanser. I use warm water to open up my pores, hold the warm cloth to my face to open up the pores, and wipe. I then turn the cloth over and wipe again. That’s it. My face, on which I may have moisturizer (I sometimes use oil in addition), primer, foundation, blush, highlighter, shadow primer, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick and setting spray is no match for this cloth. Waterproof or not. Matte lipstick or not. When I did the toner test, which is how I test any cleanser, there was next to no makeup on the cotton ball. When I use a cleanser, I usually need at least two cotton balls to remove all the residual makeup. I just toss it into the wash when I’m done, but if laundry day isn’t for a few days, I hand wash it. It dries quickly, as well, so it isn’t a breeding ground, either.

This is a great set, even for someone who doesn’t wear makeup. From a general skincare standpoint, it’s gentle and effective. I’m extremely happy with this set. If you’d like to check it out, you can find it here.

Have you ever used similar products? How well did they work for you?
