Friendship Spotlight and #MOTD

Nothing to disclose

Hi, all!

I’m back with two more #MOTDs done with the help of a very good friend, Christi. I recently took part in a collaboration with @we_slay_collabs with the theme being Dramatic Eyes…you know I jumped all over that! As you may know, I’ve also been participating in a month-long challenge, which you can read about here. In both looks below, I used some products that I won in a giveaway hosted by the beautiful @cfchristi. In it, I won some Urban Decay products that I was really excited to try! This post is a long one, so grab your coffee and let’s get into it!

First, let me tell you about this amazing woman. Christi is super sweet, and has always been supportive and encouraging. Even though I had no skill or experience, she spurred me on to keep trying. She’s always got a kind and uplifting word for anyone who needs it. She also has a huge heart, and is always giving away things, not just on social media, but in real life. In addition, I often refer to Christi as my resident skincare guru. She’s always got personalized product recommendations, I kid you not! My skin has improved so much, and for one look below, I used no foundation. I’ve never been able to post a look without foundation or BB cream before. I’m telling you, this lady is magical!

So, Christi hosted an awesome giveaway, and I entered and shared just to support my girl. I was shocked by my win, because I so rarely win anything. More like never, really. So, I was beyond stoked. I’d tried some Urban Decay samples before, but these are my first ever full-sized UD products besides Primer Potion.

My winnings all came in a super-cute tarte cosmetic bag. It’s a lined twill shot through with metallic threads. It’s also huge, and is perfect for weekends away, because it holds a lot!

I received a 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in the shade Voodoo, a sparkly, metallic royal purple. Look at that sparkle!

I got an Afterglow 8-hour blush in the shade Bittersweet, a warm and vibrant purple.

I also got the Afterglow 8-hour Powder Highlighter in the shade Sin.

As if that wasn’t enough to get excited about, I also got the Vice lipstick palette!

I used all my winnings to create my individual look for the Dramatic Eyes collab. In addition to my prizes, I used the BH Cosmetics Take Me To Brazil palette, Notoriously Morbid’s Kill Us Both Spock, My Pretty Zombie’s Epistaxis, and Dirty Glam Cosmetics’ Tangerine Twist. Thanks to Christi and her personalized recommendations, I wore no foundation, only primer, concealer, and a dusting of powder. See how much Christi’s helped me with getting my skin together?

In my 31-day makeup challenge, where this day’s prompt was colorful makeup, I used my Juvia’s Place Zulu palette in addition to my prizes. I often have trouble making colors pop, even with a white base, so I used Sin to set my eyeshadow primer. It turned out better than I’d hoped, and in sunlight, my makeup was extra glowy! I highly recommend a highlighter as base for those who are extra like myself and want more glow.

I switched up the lip to go out.

I was pretty darned excited about it, and even wore both these looks outside. Nowhere but shopping, but I got several compliments, even with my glasses on. I’m happy with my first real UD makeup, and it will all get lots of love. Thanks to my friend and her giving nature, I’m creating some of my favorite looks so far. Feel free to check out her page for beautiful looks, product recommendations, and knowing her, future giveaways. You can find this lovely lady’s page here.

Do you have a friend you always seek for information about certain topics? Have you tried any of these Urban Decay products?

Thanks for reading!
