I’m back with what’s officially my last Glossybox review, at least for awhile. I finally went ahead and cancelled, though it was hard. I got this last box using the Glossydots I’d accumulated on the site from reviewing the products I received. We got to choose from three box designs this month, and naturally, I chose the purple and gold pattern. It’s so pretty! It seems every time I get ready to cancel, I get a really good box, so let’s take a look at what’s in this one!
De Bruyère Monoi After Sun Lotion
This lotion is thin but very moisturizing, which is perfect for summer. I don’t sun much, or at all, really, but this is a very soothing lotion after shaving or nightly exfoliation. It has a cooling, calming effect on the skin and causes no irritation.
SKIN & CO Roma Truffle Therapy Cleansing Oil
I love this brand’s eye cream, and the cleansing oil is just as good. It makes quick work of breaking down makeup, and it leaves my skin feeling fantastic. I do require an additional cleanse when removing heavier makeup like some of my thicker foundations, but for days when I just use powder or BB cream, one wash is enough to remove it all, including waterproof liners and mascaras. This oil rinses off quickly and cleanly, and leaves my skin softer and less dry than with any liquid or foaming cleanser.
Doucce x Glossybox Blush Duo Palette
This blush is an exclusive shade created by Doucce for Glossybox, and I’d venture to say that almost anyone would look good in this color. It’s very pigmented, but blends out beautifully to whatever sheerness or opacity you prefer. It’s nice that you are allowed to choose your second color after trying it, and I chose the darker of the two available options. The compact is really nice and sturdy, and I find it quite luxe.
La Roche-Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser
I received this cleanser in a previous box, and it’s still amazing. I’d forgotten about it, but it’s now on my wishlist to purchase when I can. This cleanser provides a rich, creamy foam that feels gentle on the skin, but provides a deep clean. I appreciate it even more than before, since I’m wearing makeup a lot more often, and it provides a good hardcore cleaning without leaving my dry areas scaly.
Dr Paw Paw Original Balm
I’m probably a third of the way through this balm already…I use it for everything! This balm is good for lips, skin, hair, and nails. I initially used it only as lip balm, but I used it when I was out, after washing my hands, and couldn’t believe how soft my hands felt. I also used it on my leg as I was sitting in the doctor’s office and realized I’d missed a spot with my lotion after showering. I’ll definitely be buying another, and one for my daughter, as well.
NCLA Precision Nail Lacquer Remover Pen
This pen is cool, but not something I’d seek out unless I was traveling. My nail brush and acetone blend do me just fine. It does work well, though, and gets into the deep folds of my cuticles with no problem. I find it a little labor intensive, because I’m used to pure acetone with additives I mix in myself, but in a pinch, it gets the job done. I like that it’s refillable and comes with three spare pen tips.
So, all in all, this month’s Glossybox was excellent, and easily ranks as one of the best I’ve ever received. I’m still not going to renew my subscription for the time being, just because it’s not consistently good enough to justify the expense at this time. It’s one I’ll likely pick up again in the future, because I’ve gotten some things I’ve loved and have actually repurchased. This month I got mostly great products, and only a couple that I probably won’t purchase again, but will still use. If you’d like to check out Glossybox, you can find more information here.
Was there anything in this month’s box you’ve used before? Anything you’d like to try?
Thanks for reading!
