Indie Love: Dark Ice Queen #MOTD

Hi, all!

Today, I’m sharing a look I did spotlighting some of the indie brands I use. I started out intending to use blue and white, but ended up incorporating black, for a look I referred to as “Dark Ice Queen”. It features Crow & Pebble, which is a new favorite, Notoriously Morbid, a favorite brand I’ve featured frequently, and a new-to-me brand, Dirty Glam Cosmetics, that was part of my birthday haul and that you’ll see more about in an upcoming post. Here’s the look I did and what I used!

Crow & Pebble (eyes, lips):

Newtrition – base
Creation’s Shadow – crease
Two Spots – lid, lower lash line, patted on center of lip
Tarnish – outer lid, lower lash line
Lights That May Have Been Stars – inner lid, inner corner, brow bone

Notoriously Morbid (cheeks, lips)

Promised to the Dead – blush
13 Black Rainbows – lips

Dirty Glam (all over)

Dirty Luster Dust in Elsa – highlighter

Other products used:

NYX Mineral Stick Foundation in Warm Almond
L.A. Girl HD Pro Conceal in Fawn
Milani Prep + Set + Go Transparent Face Powder
Revlon Colorstay 2 in 1 Angled Kajal in Onyx

Not a great shot, but I wanted to show off the glow!

There you have it! I had fun creating this look, and was happy with how it turned out. If you haven’t tried indie brands, seriously…you’re missing out! You’ll be seeing more of them on my page, as I’m aspiring to gradually become cruelty-free (more on this in a later post!). I’ve included product and company links, and I encourage you to explore them. I love indies for so many reasons, including their high quality, wide range of finishes, and their uniqueness. Trust me…there’s something for everyone!

Have you tried any of these brands? Are there other indies you can recommend?

Thanks for reading!
