Greetings, all!

I’ve written before about my skin struggles, and that I’m always looking for something that works. Well, thanks to BzzAgent, I was offered the chance to try some products from L’Oréal’s RevitaLift line.

I deal with combination skin with the usual oily T-zone, and on top of that, have eczema and enlarged pores. Add to that being acne-prone, having allergies and sensitive skin, in general, and it’s just a powder keg. I’d never tried any anti-aging products beyond a sample, so I was beyond excited to give this line a try. I was provided the eye cream, day cream, night cream, and face and neck cream to try. I’ve been using them for a little more than two weeks, and I’ll give my opinion of each. They all share the same creamy consistency, but the ingredients differ.

REVITALIFT®
Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Eye Cream

This cream is rich and luxurious. I use it both day and evening, and keep it in the refrigerator, as I find the cold helps decrease my morning puffiness. It’s not greasy, and it doesn’t collect in my folds or creases. I hadn’t noticed any extreme wrinkling around my eyes, but I do notice a smoother look to the skin. My concealer blends much more easily, and I don’t have as much creasing as I normally have. With liquids, creams, and powders, this eye cream makes any creasing I get minimal.

Would I recommend it? A thousand times, yes!

REVITALIFT®
Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Day Cream SPF 18

The day cream was a different story, for me. My skin freaked out immediately. The cream itself feels good going on. I don’t find it especially greasy. Applying makeup over it is a dream. I noticed after my first time wearing it, though, that I had a couple pimples in the T-zone. In addition, the dry patches on my cheeks got larger. The rest of my skin became extremely oily. No matter what makeup I used, within a couple hours, I looked anywhere from dewy to greasy. I tried switching up my foundations, primers and powders…same oil slick within hours. I tried, but I just can’t use it. I didn’t have the same experience with the night cream, so I tried to pinpoint what might be irritating my skin so badly. The list of ingredients is quite different in both creams, so I couldn’t get a bead on the culprit.

Would I recommend it?  I wouldn’t recommend this cream to anyone with acne-prone skin. Likewise, I would only recommend it to those with normal skin, as it wasn’t particularly kind to either my dry or oily areas.

REVITALIFT®
Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Night Cream

I love this night cream. I’d assumed it would be similar to the day cream, but this may be the best night cream I’ve ever used. Usually, night creams are too greasy, and just much too heavy for my skin. This one is amazing. I wake up with soft, smooth skin. It doesn’t leave me with pimples, which I get from most night cream formulas. There was no greasy film left, either, and I was genuinely surprised and happy not to wake up with an oil slick on my face. I haven’t yet had the chance to see if it works for daytime wear or makeup application, because I wanted to first evaluate all the products as intended, but I plan to try it soon.

Would I recommend it? Wholeheartedly! It seems to work for all skin types, and I experienced no irritation at all from using it.

REVITALIFT®
Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Face & Neck Contour Cream

I had surgery about two years ago, and while the scar on my neck healed up nicely, the skin on my neck has never been the same. I’ve used various oils, creams, and serums, but my neck continued to be dry, crepe-y, and flaky. After a week of using this cream, the crepe-like appearance was gone. Like, completely gone. Going into my third week, I’m starting to feel some elasticity returning. I’d even go so far as to say it feels supple. It’s so nice to have my normal skin back. I plan to try this one on my face, too, since it’s a face and neck cream.

Would I recommend it? With no hesitation, I’d recommend this cream. If I find it really does double duty, I’ll be ecstatic!

So, overall, with the exception of the day cream, I’d say this line is great for lasting moisture. Most impressive, I see improvement in my overall skin quality. It’s gentle, and none of the creams are greasy. My makeup spreads more easily, and looks smoother, as the dry patches are finally starting to disappear. When the three creams I like are gone, I’ll likely repurchase all of them, unless I find any of them can be used interchangeably. I’ll definitely be using these creams to get me through the harsh Midwest winter!
