I’m a day late, but I thought I’d start sharing my Notoriously Morbid Halloween advent calendar reveals here. I’m currently sharing them on social media, but wanted to share them here, too. The theme is The Ghouls Are All Here, and pays homage to everyone’s favorite sleuthing pup, Scooby-Doo! Upon opening the box (which is kind of fab, in itself, and will be reused), I found a welcome card. On the back of it is a special website to be accessed on Halloween for a secret product…exciting! As a bonus, the box contains a packet of Scooby Snacks fruit snacks. My daughter, at least, was kind enough to offer me some before gobbling them up. I let her have them, especially since I usually don’t even get a photo of any treats, let alone a taste! 🙂
The box contains 13 wrapped products, meant to be opened one at a time on each of the 12 days leading up to Halloween, and the last on the day, itself. Each item is wrapped in tissue paper and sealed with a sticker with the reveal date on it. By nature, the advent calendar was available only for a limited time, and was offered in full-size and mini. Due to limited funds, I could only cop the mini version, but something beats nothing every time, and I’m grateful to have been able to get it at all. The products in both versions are exactly the same – some are just just smaller in size.
So, the first day of the calendar was yesterday, and here’s the reveal:
Ghost Clown! This loose pigment is an incredible, unique, and stunning shade. There are no product descriptions, and you know I’m no good at describing colors, so please bear with my horrible interpretations! The best I can come up with to describe Ghost Clown: a burnt orange pigment with gold-to-green shifting sparkles.
It really is amazing, and while I have similar colors, I have nothing quite like this pigment. The shift is incredibly strong, and it’s great for a one-and-done, which I did for this look.
I used Ghost Clown on my eyes, my blush is Skin, the highlighter is Step Out Of The Shadows, from the June Vanishing Cabinet, and Creature Of The Night, which was a limited edition shade gifted to me by my extremely kind glitter sister, Christi, who you may remember from this post. I love this shadow, and am stoked for the next reveal, which I’ll share very shortly. Feel free to follow along with me on Instagram, too. While these products are limited edition, you can find a huge selection of items on the Notoriously Morbid website. Please feel free to use my affiliate code, koolklawz15, on your next order. My affiliate code helps keep me posting and gets you a 15% discount…a win/win! 🙂
Do you buy advent calendars? What do you think of the first reveal?
