As you may know, I’m always looking for something to get my unruly skin under control, and lately, exfoliation has been key. I’ve had a couple brush systems, and found they worked well, but when my daughter broke hers, I ended up giving her mine (grumble). I held onto my regular head, and she used the ones I hadn’t used, as well as those from her broken system. I recently came across a great deal on the Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Exfoliating System.
This system comes with the tool, two AA batteries, a headband, a tube of Olay Exfoliating Renewal Cleanser, and a brush head. I was a little disappointed that it came with just a single brush head, but, if I’m honest, the brush is the only head I used with my previous system anyway. An extra would have been nice, but happily, the head from my old system fits, so I have a spare. It’s good to know I can purchase additional heads without worrying about whether they’ll fit.
The tool has two speeds, the lower of which is just fine for me. The brush head is nice and gentle, so I don’t have any irritation or redness, even if I use it on high. The battery compartment is a bit difficult to open, and requires a little twist and some elbow grease.
The band isn’t always a necessity, but does come in handy on occasion. It’s very soft, with a good amount of stretch.
The cleanser isn’t anything spectacular, but does a good job without giving me that tight, overly dry feeling. I don’t think it’s anything I’d seek out once it’s gone, but I’ll continue to use it.
Overall, this exfoliation system is a great tool, and I’m happy to (finally!) have a replacement. At $17.99 USD, it’s affordable, especially if you’re a beauty on a budget, like me. Currently, though, you can use code OLAY4DS for $4 off, making the price $13.99 USD! The code can be entered on the second page of checkout. You might want to jump on this one while the offer’s still good! If you’d like to check it out, you can find it here.
Have you tried a brush system for exfoliation? Were there any heads you preferred more than the others?
